Rearrange note order

Is it possible to rearrange the note order? When I do a workflow and then want to print/export the notes are ordered from the last note I took to the first. I want them to flow from the first note I took to the last, demonstrating the progression of study and thought. Thanks.

    Welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately the we cannot currently reverse the order as you discussed. I am hopeful that we will eventually see an option for ascending or descending sorts. Something in accordance with the following:

Date Created - Oldest to Newest or Newest to Oldest

Date Modified - Oldest to Newest or Newest to Oldest

    Reference - Ascending or Descending

Aaron, I assume you're doing Print/Export from the Notes tool, correct?

"Notebook" order by default displays your notes by created date from oldest to newest. You can manually modify the order in the notebook (via drag and drop) if you happen to do a workflow step out of order. If you click on the notebook name for the workflow in the Filters sidebar tab or load the notebook from the Notebooks sidebar tab, you should get what you're looking for.

It actually saves the notes in reverse order of how you took them. It places each of your latest notes or highlights on top of the first or older notes you take. This is out of order to how anyone would make sense of or use notes. This seems like a long standing problem that could be addressed.

Actually, the way I take notes, I don't want my notes in the order I took them except when I am checking where I left off. In that case, I do want to see the latest notes on top. Outside that specific use, I normally sort my notes by reference or resource so it doesn't matter what order they were entered or stored. This make be partially because over two decades with Logos/Verbum I expect notes to be scattered about.
