Cross-References - either BUG or Room for Improvement
I don't remember when I last used the Cross-References section in the Passage Guide, but I did just now and I ran into an unnecessary inconvenience.
After the list of references, I see two options: Save as Passage List, and Open X passages in BibleVersion. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to use the second option and get it to open in a different version, and when I open it in that particular version, switching to the parallel version that I actually want to see the verses in irreversibly wipes out the filter.
(Yes, I know I can create a Passage List and change the version and get similar-but-not-identical functionality. That is my present workaround.)

Use the first option and apply the Passage List to the bible you want via its Visual Filters menu (under Passage Lists).

What I don’t like about this approach is that it creates a document in my documents even if I only wanted a temporary filter.

Thank you for the workaround. (I still see this issue as having room for improvement.)
