Can Prayer Lists Be Made Useable?

Why are Prayer Lists so unhelpful for, you know ... actually praying? They actually have no functionality for the actual practice of praying. The feature is only mediocre, at best, for editing prayers, creating prayers and lists and schedules of what to pray for and when. But there seems to be absolutely no interface to use them for praying. Maybe I am missing something.

What I think needs to be fixed:

1. The document panels on the Home Page are useless. We need one unified panel that feeds us only the prayers that are scheduled for that day from all of our prayer documents. I do not need to see unscheduled prayers or answered prayer.
2. The Home Page panel should display only the titles of the prayers that are scheduled for that day and check mark boxes to mark them as read. When I click a prayer, it should then show me all the notes for that prayer.
3. Still on the Home Page panel, when I have clicked a prayer, I should be able to edit the contents of the title and the notes while I am focused on a prayer in the home page prayer panel. I should also be able to change the schedule.
4. There should be a check box that allows me to mark the prayer as read. This action should not then make the prayer invisible. I may want to go back to it. I may still want to edit it.
5. In the "hamburger" slide out docs menu. The Prayers item should actually give me access to open my prayer doc for more substantial editing than the inconsistent and limited editing abilities that currently exist in that tiny side panel. The full notes in half the prayers do not show up.
6. Is there some rhyme or reason to the icons? I cannot figure it out. I cannot find a pattern that gives meaning to the little flame, the solid circle, and the check mark.
