Switch to Logos 8 from Logos 7 - free as last time?

On previous major releases it was a few months after the release that the early discounts went and the basic software only became available to all (i.e. free).

Have I missed this happening or is this still to come. I notice the basic version 8 is free. Is that the 'same' thing?

At some point during the L7 Cycle, but not at launch, the way to acquire the free engine was through a "purchase" of L7 Basic. FL has continued that with L8.
