Rebuild Bible Index?

I am getting some very wonky behavior in Logos 8 (8.3.0.0034) related to the right-click menu. When I try to right-click on a word it selects multiple words. When it selects just one word often the menu is incomplete (no choices for the original language lemma or root, etc...). It seems like my index is corrupted.  Is Rebuild Bible Index still a working command? I tried it and the Logos Indexer app went into the spinning beach ball of death and never recovered. I had to restart my computer and then it said it was indexing, but didn't resolve the problem. Anyone have a solution?

I have no answer regarding why you experienced the indexing behavior. Rebuild Bible Index is still a valid command.

It sounds like you may have Text Selection set to Smart

    Open Program Settings

Scroll down to Text Selection (Located in the Text Display section)

Check setting. I normally keep it set to Word

When I try to right-click on a word it selects multiple words.

"Blocks" of words or disconnected? What will be shown as selected will depend on what you have clicked (or has been automatically selected) in the top-right of the context menu. See couple of examples below:

    Single word selected:

    Verse selected:

When it selects just one word often the menu is incomplete (no choices for the original language lemma or root, etc...

Yes it is - but as above the index might not be the issue.

That was it - it was set to smart instead of word - Thanks
