How do I remove the period in bible verse copy editor?

When I copy and paste a passage, I want it to look like this:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1).

The problem is I cannot figure out how to remove the period that automatically shows at the end of the verse before the closing quotation mark like this:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1).

I have looked for HTML coding to remove it, but I am coming up empty handed.

Thanks

How you are copying the passage? A simple copy from the bible text will not include quotation marks, nor the Passage reference. And you should be able to exclude the period when you make the selection.

You can achieve the format shown using Copy Bible Verses and your own style, but it won't remove punctuation
