Still trying to grasp Orthodoxy but in the meantime I'm finding a warm sense of nodding my head to some deep dwellings.

Can anyone suggest something akin to this? I just picked this one up last night.

I suggest trying either the Orthodox or the Catholic products forums (and/or a more descriptive thread title).

The authors that come to my mind first are not that close to Pseudo-Macarius geographically or chronologically. But you might be interested in:

St. Isaac of Ninevah
St. Simeon the New Theologian

I'm sure there are others more familiar with the Church Fathers who would have better suggestions

For something more specific, maybe you can mention particular subjects so that those who have the resources can look up the topic and find and post a screen capture of the Bibliography for it.
