Removing resources from device and Logos install size *increases*?

I took the time yesterday to remove ~2,300 of my 10,300 resources. Then I ran the "rebuild index" command. The size of my Logos folder went from 41GB to 51GB. That's not what I would have expected.

It doesn't affect me much - I have sufficient disk space. But if that's a consistent possibility, it might surprise others who are trying to reclaim disk space by removing local resources.
