Library out-of-sync since Verbatim Expired

Question Background:

I tried the free one month verbatim subscription which resulted in some 2000 additional resources being added to my library. Recently my subscription expired. However, the issue I now have is that all these additional resources are still showing in my library.

Question:

How do I get my library updated so that it only shows the resources I own?

    You run the command delete unlicensed resources from the command box. Due to the change it probably helps to run rebuild index afterward, maybe overnight.

    I tried both the "delete unlicensed resources" and the "rebuild index" command and waited until rebuild complete.

    I then shutdown and restarted Logos 8.  Unfortunately the resources are still showing.

    My library still shows that I have nearly 2000 resources....

    If I click on one of the resources that I no long have license for, I get a window with a tab showing the resource name with statement saying....  This resource is not currently available on this device.  With a button saying "Download now"....

    What is my next step?

    I went to Logos 8 on web and the library listing is correct there. So the problem is only on my PC version.

    Hope that helps in your diagnosis.

    The "delete unlicensed resources" command is explicitly for situations like yours. Could you restart Logos with CTRL-key down (which will invoke diagnostic logging) and run the command. Make sure it is correctly captured by Logos - I sometimes tend to misspell - so the command box will show it as such: 

    after the command executed, close Logos. 

    Identify the logos.log file and other recent files such as error.log (in Documents/Logos Logs) and put them into a zip file. Then restart Logos (this order of things is vital to preserve the log!). If the 2000 files are still in the library, upload the zip file here.

    Are you referring to a one-month free Verbum Cloud subscription?

    Somehow the Logos.log file didn't make it into the zip.

    I'm not quite sure what's going on, but maybe a new functionality since 8.4 has introduced issues - I'm asking about that in the beta forum: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/181297.aspx

    It sounds to me like your license hasn't actually expired. The application is behaving like you still have a license, but have not yet chosen to download the resources.

    This is probably best resolved by a call to customer support. They can help clarify what you currently own and can help clean things up if there is some other problem going on.

    I am pleased to report this for some reason, my library got updated again.  I ran the commend: "Delete unlicensed resources" and now the correct number of resource appears in my library.

    Looks like something was out-of-sync with the cloud but now is fully resolved.

    I will rerun the re-indexing process.
