Feature request/issue with current setup: two problems with font sizes and changing them

Two requests

First, I have my BHS/SBL Hebrew open all the time on my 10.5 iPad. I find that when the Hebrew is the right size, the English in my other tabs is too large, and when the English is the right size, the Hebrew is too small. I'd like to be able to adjust them independently, or have the Hebrew increased in size relative to English.

Second, I find the mechanism for changing font size frustrating. Even on the relatively large screen of my 10.5 iPad, the slider combined with the delayed response (and the Hebrew issue above) in changing the size means the following happens three or four times a day.

I put my finger on the slider and move it to the right/left, then remove it to see if I've actually moved the slider. No. So I try to move it again, and this time, when I take my finger off, even though I think I've only moved it a tiny bit, it turns out it's changed three font sizes.

It would be far better to have a +- (or Aa) tap instead of a slider. That way, it's both obvious and quantifiable to the user that their device has registered the touchscreen request for a font change.

I've not had any problems with that slider, but I'd be happy with that fix.

I totally agree on the language-specific font-sizes, though - I really want to set them independently.

Ezra SIL is a slightly bigger font than SBL Hebrew, so I've gone for that and it has helped a little, but not enough.
