How to search library for a person - short bio, bibliography, theology/associations?
When I read, I often run across references to people (modern and ancient authors, theologians, philosophers, rulers, historical figures, bible translators, missionaries, etc).
Is there a quick way to search my Logos library for background on people?
A shotgun "everything search" usually leaves me hunting for a needle in a huge collection of haystacks. Theology and history resources often cover famous figures, but probably not more recent names which seem to pop up a lot these days like Moo or Carson or Witherington, for example.
For example, recently I was curious about the Companion Bible, and wanted to know something about Bullinger. I recalled he was a dispensationalist, and when I Googled I learned he is "E W Bullinger" and was treated to some great information about him in Wikipedia. All really fast and easy.
But in Logos I struggle to get something useful, even though I suspect there is great info in my library. I grouped results from everything search by resource, but I struggle to even find an entry on ultradispensationalism in the Zondervan Encyclopedia of the Bible, and a blurb on the Companion Bible in a list of reference Bibles. I'd probably give up before I found most of the info in Wikipedia.
Is Logos the wrong tool for this, or can someone help me to be more effective?
Thanks!

In many resources, there is a short bio for the author(s). You can also use the Wikipedia tool within Logos
Open the Wikipedia tool from the Tools tab
Enter the topic, name, etc you desire to search

Factbook is possibly the best tool in Logos, but it only knows H Bullinger, and then it refers to Wikipedia for further reading!
Your Library could be a source with books like "131 Christians Everyone Should Know"

My initial Logos search looked for Bullinger in the Companion Bible with results that included Dr. E. W. Bullinger and Bullinger, DD
Next Logos search modification was Bullinger NEAR ("E. W.","Dr.","D.D.") in All Resources whose results included Ultradispensationalism glossary entry in Enns The Moody Handbook of Theology, Revised and Expanded results. FYI: Initials can appear before OR after last name so used NEAR (searching my library for Bullinger in a Biography collection included many Henry Bullinger results)
Third Logos search modification added Headword:
(Bullinger NEAR ("E. W.","Dr.","D.D.")) OR {Headword Ultradispensationalism}

Thanks for the great feedback...
* Author Bio may be available for resource authors
* Wikipedia Tool
* Fact Book
* 131 Christians Everyone Should Know
* Better search, e.g. (Bullinger NEAR ("E. W.","Dr.","D.D.")) OR {Headword Ultradispensationalism}Overall, seems like Google/Wikipedia is the best approach.

I make it a habit to combine Large Text and Heading Text in the search filter

Greetings Bob:
Have you taken a look at God's Generals books?:
Many main figures will probably be there, then you can take particular areas of the mentioned person to expand the search.
Hope this helps.
