I assume you are talking about the blue colored text that shows the differences between translations. That color cannot be changed. You can turn show difference on or off. You can also choose to strikethrough the differences leave them as-is

Is there even a way to use this tool at all?????  It used to be when I used it it would come up with "an unexpected error has occurred" but a few seconds later it would list the various texts.  Now it just says for what ever passage I choose "text cannot be found - choose another text" .  So then I tried a fewer number of Bibles, and that worked but now I can't even go back to different Bibles.  I hate this Logos 8 - I wish I hadn't ever gone to it!!!!

Longtime Logos user (more than $30,000 in purchases) - now a second class user because I won't pay them more every month or year.

As far as I know, the Text Comparison tool has not changed from L7 to L8. In fact I am not sure it changed between L6 and L7.

For Basic instruction you can view this video https://www.logos.com/logos-pro/text-comparison

If you are having trouble using the tool, or it is not functioning correctly, please start a new thread specifying the problem. Screenshots wou;d also be helpful.

Text Comparison didn't change between Logos 7 and Logos 8.

We're designing some improvements to Text Comparison that we hope to ship later this year. Among those are fixing the problem where if your base text doesn't have coverage you get an error message. It sounds like you're also struggling with the resource picker, which I agree needs lots of work. We have a completely new design for it, which should make it a pleasure to use.

I'm sorry Text Comparison is a sub-par experience right now. If you have other feedback for how we can make it better, please let us know.

Can you clarify if you're referring to the text color, the background color, or the text decoration color for differences?

This sounds like the first Bible in your list of Bibles doesn't contain the verse you have selected. Either place a different Bible first (by dragging and dropping to change the order), or select a verse that can be found in the first Bible.

    Hi Phil,

Has any of this changed with L9? Or is there still no way to change the font color for the variant words in the Text Comparison tool (to a more visible color, eg. red)?

Is this on Logos' roadmap? It would be very helpful.

None of the above has changed with Logos 9. Is this preventing you from getting  a free upgrade to Logos 9?

You can get an idea what is planned, in progress, etc.  from the Desktop Feedback site. Or Search for "Text Comparison". You can add an entry of your own of course. If you wish to pursue this in the Forums (to get a better response), then create a thread in the General forum or the Logos 9 forum.
