This came up in another thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/181499.aspx
For people writing academic/scholarly papers, it is often useful to be able to tell whether articles they are referring to are from peer-reviewed journals or not. Or rather to limit their periodical sources to only peer-reviewed journals.
"Some databases allow you to limit searches for articles to peer reviewed journals only. For example, Academic Search Complete has this feature on the initial search screen." (from this link)
Logos, as one of the premiere Bible/theological study software packages should provide this functionality.
I think it could be accomplished by a single bit in the metadata for journals -- on if it's a peer-reviewed journal, off if not. And expose this bit as a user-filterable field so people can make a collection of just their peer-reviewed journals and limit their searches to that. Or perhaps you have some better idea of how to accomplish it that wouldn't require a new metadata field. Maybe a community tag "peer-reviewed"?
