How To Track Download Progress
I have just updated Logos to Logos 8 Basic and Logos needs to download about 800 M of updates. I have very poor internet service, but it's the "only game in town" when you live off the beaten path. Logos began the downloads, but the internet went down, Logos reported "Download Failed" and gave me an option to "Retry." I have done that, and the downloads have begun again, but in the first instance, there was a bar across the top of Logos that said it was downloading updates and what percentage had been downloaded. But on the "Retry" that bar has gone away, and I have no idea how much of the download has been completed. Is there a way to get that information back?
Also, is there a way to break the download down into smaller parts so that Logos can complete this task in smaller segments?
Thanks
Randall

Welcome, Randall
You should get a notification at top right of the Logos window, via a blue circle with a number (1 or greater) next to the Sync icon. Hover over that for information. I can't say for sure what happens on a retry, but at some stage you should get a notification that resources have been updated, together with a list of them; which means the download has completed. Try restarting Logos if you haven't seen anything.

If you have an update of any size, you can't break it into smaller parts, but you can control when it downloads via Tools > Program Settings
That might be phrased differently in your version of Logos (i.e. Automatically Download Updates), but NO means you get a Notification of its size, and you can click it when ready to start.
If you perform a fresh installation, Logos 8.4 will let you choose the size of the initial download, but it would still be larger than 800 MB. Thereafter, you can go to Library, select resources and initiate a download from a right-click menu (I can provide more details if necessary).

The application tells you that you have about 800 MB to download, but it actually splits that up and downloads separate files. Any files that successfully finish downloading will not try to download again if your connection is interrupted. Also note that when you retry, the progress will start again at 0%, but it will now be downloading a smaller amount, since some may have already completed.

Thanks Guys, your replies were very helpful. It appears that the update is completed and I am all set. Many thanks.
