If you are a fan of the OED and are curious about its origin and compilation, then you might want to view The Professor and the Madman which was just released in America on 10 May.  It's an adaptation of  The Surgeon of Crowthorne: A Tale of Murder, Madness and Love of Words by Simon Winchester.

Mel Gibson, Sean Penn, Natalie Dormer, Jennifer Ehle, Ioan Gruffudd, Eddie Marsan, Laurence Fox

Available for rent or purchase at Amazon Prime.

Trailer here.

I suppose that there is an age when one begins to realize the truth of Ecclesiastes,

"That which has been is that which will be,
And that which has been done is that which will be done.
So there is nothing new under the sun."  Eccl 1:9  [sigh]

I know I reached it long ago and one of the proofs is that virtually all new movies look/sound like old movies.

The Prof and the Madman, however, is an exception.  I found it truly engaging and a story of which I was totally unaware.  And, even though I am certainly NOT a Sean Penn fan, I found his portrayal of Dr. William Minor to be outstanding (but probably not for the kids).

BTW, if you didn't catch it in the trailer, OED was, to a large extent, compiled using what amounted to 19th century "crowd-sourcing".

    Another trailer here.

I rate this movie ... five bags of popcorn! 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
