Logos not working on mac at all when it did some before

Please help. Whereas I could open a limited version of Logos 4 on my mac before, I know have a message that reads "You can't open this application "Logos Bible Software 4" because it is not supported by this architecture.

Welcome to the forum.

It would help if you gave more details of your set up. Logos 4 only works on Intel Chipped laptops and desktop units.

(Other architectures are supported for the iphone and ipad - haven't heard how the program will run on the new Arm Chip)

If you need some facilities don't forget that you can use the online version and get access to your library that way.

Also, please note that it's not a good idea to use your email address for your display name. I think that was the default for a while but I'm told they have fixed it for the future. I am not extremely skilled with computers but here is what I can tell you. Mac OS X version 10.5.8 2.1 gHz Intel core 2 duo

I could use the limited version before...but now nothing will open....

Also you mention an online version...I am not certain how to access it. Sorry I am so inept. Thank you so much in advance for any help.

I can't help you with the Mac questions, but the online version is at http://library.logos.com/. If you go to http://library.logos.com/?beta=1 you'll get the beta version (still under development) which is much more fully-featured but might have the occasional bug. It's still more limited than what you could do in the Mac Alpha, but at least it's a way to get access to your library in the meantime, until you can figure out what is causing the problem or get help with it.

Go to the Apple in the top left of your screen and click on 'about this mac'

The first problem might be that the current version of Mac OS X is 10.6.3 - have you tried software update recently?

I thought I knew how to get at the online version.

There is

but it is no the site I was thinking of

I updated today and it has said my software is up to date now...but I still have the 10.5.8 I do not know why.

I think, from a little research that you may still be using 'Leopard' rather than 'Snow Leopard'.

Tommy will no doubt advise about compatibility – and perhaps about the advisability of upgrading.

'Leopard' rather than 'Snow Leopard'

Logos 4 Mac works on Leopard and Snow Leopard alike. It's Tiger (10.4) and prior that do not work.

Thanks for the info....it worked fine in its limited capacity until one time when the computer shut down during indexing. I may have closed the logo out when I restarted but now do not even see the logo (to click anymore).

I wonder if you are using the latest version of the Alpha?

If you don't know or are unsure go to the top post in this forum and look for the link.

Try downloading - double click on the Logos Bible Software icon once the loader appears on your screen and is should install.

The latest version is Alpha 21.
