PowerPoint in Notes View & L8 Courseware Video

I'm sure this has been addressed in previous posts, but I don't know where.

There are times in classes where a lesson needs to be augmented by a segment from a Courseware video. The "L4" link from the Courseware works just fine as long as I stop the PowerPoint Slide Show, minimize it, then continue the Logos video by arranging it to full screen using the latest version (8.5). Then stopping the segment, maximizing PPT, then reactivating the Slide Show to get back to the lesson. When projecting to the screen from my laptop (using the latest Windows10 update) I'm using the Notes View to talk about things that are not on the screen.

I can use MP4s and other video resources without stopping the PowerPoint program. Am I missing something in the link connection with L8?

    Charley, I add a hearty "Amen", and hope that Faithlife will both explain how to do it, and simplify the methodology for incorporating courseware video in PPT.
