Does anyone know if it is possible to insert images in the canvas tool?
Not at this time. The ability to insert images into the Canvas tool has been discussed since its release in the early Beta cycles.
It seems development of the Canvas tool (at least public development) may be on the back-burner right now Notes and Guides seem to be getting most of the attention right now.
Perhaps it will be something we see down the road.
For future Reference, this is kind of possible.
Copy the complete image tag. Goto a new Canvas and press Ctrl+V (win) to paste the code.

The source is the location of your image. I did not figure out how to reference a local file yet, the file protocol does not work, but this could be a start. Hope this helps.
Oh man! Thanks!
It works perfectly
For me, it's showing broken image links:
I tried a few different links, and they always show up broken. Any tips?
Does anyone have an answer to this old question?
I would like to use images in the canvas tool.
The examples in the Logos Library sometimes have images, but there is no information how they are embeded in the canvas?Example: 'persons' in family tree Warfield, made by Phil Gons
