The auto reader feature skips over the Bible passages when used on the lectionary

That is because the bible text is not present in the resource. The bible is selected from the toolbar and the text is dynamically inserted.

This applies to all/most lectionaries.

Most. The Lectionary for Mass: For Use in the Dioceses of the United States of America, 2nd ed., vols. 1–4 is an exception because it is a physical lectionary that was turned into a resource. (The FL customer base for that particular lectionary is, relatively speaking, huge.)
