Global Default Font Setting for Notes

What I am wanting to know is how to change the default font size in notes from 11 to 12 points to match my desktop, I not want to magnify. I see a setting to set font size for each note, but it is there a default global setting?
Each time I enter a new note, the font returns to 11. There must be a way to change this yes?
