BUG: Notification icon not working for newly purchased books
Hi,
I'm running Logos 8.5 (8.5.0.0026) and since the 8.5 update the little blue circle notification icon no longer seems to work for new purchases. It works fine when there are Dataset updates etc, just not for new purchases.
I usually purchase a number of times a week or have pre-pubs downloaded. These show up fine if I go through the laborious process of the facet 'Updated;Today' in the library where all is as it should be...it's just I don't get the notification icon on the top bar capture these new books (it was correctly working for the previous couple of point releases since it was (re-)implemented.)
Is this just me or has anyone else noted that?
Thanks,
James

Do you have "download new resources" set to "yes" under preferences?

Thanks for the quick reply.
No, I didn't - strange for some reason it was set to No - it's always been Yes in the past - must have missed the change on that with the latest update.
However, despite that, new resources did download (they were in my library!!) - weird!
Hopefully, it will work now! I'll wait and see.
Every blessing,
James

Well, It is my understanding that this is a new preference. Logos has created the ability to have "cloud" resources. One use of the feature is the ability to create a "skinny" installation on a computer with limited storage.

You should double check. All resources will be in your library. They may not have downloaded. In your library, filter by "Not on this device" to see if any did not download.

It seems you are correct - I had quite a few items 'Not on this device'!
Many thanks for the heads-up on this. Very helpful as always!
Much appreciated,
James
