Crash: First after customizing Home Page and then every time I try to re-start
I was cutomizing my Home Page:
- Clicked to add Blogs
- Started to refresh
- Clicked to remove Blogs
- Continued refresh
- Clicked to add Logos News
- Continued to refresh then crashed - Windows notice that would close program and notify me if solution available.
Now, when I try to re-start L4 b3 starts, begins to refresh my Home Page and crashes with the windows notice.
I'm going to restart my computer and see if that helps.
Logs attached.

I've restarted and it still crashes. I've tried to save a video on screencast. I hope it works. It is 36 sec long so give it a while to download. Enjoy the picture of my backyard while you watch. [H]

Hi, this is supposedly due to not having installed the latest update. Can you confirm you did? If you notice a Logos blue icon in the task-bar, and if you right click on it, it will say "Install Update" or "Hide Icon", then you know you haven't installed the latest update. There was a change to excerpts and we believe not having this update is causing your crash.

George,
I tried to start again this morning. There is no Logos blue icon in the task bar - would it appear in the 36 seconds from trying to start the program till the crash?
This time it sent an error message to Windows.
I've attached the log.
Just before the first crash last night the circle arrows in the top bar (info bar?) were moving and said there was an update. I tried to find out how to force an update. By the time I'd looked it said everything was up to date, so I stopped looking. There was no Logos blue icon then, I'm quite sure.

Hi, this issue has been resolved for Beta 4, it has something to do with excerpts. Please navigate to:
XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Logos4\Data\<random_string>\ResourceManager\Resources\
Vista/Win7 - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\<random_string>\ResourceManager\Resources\
And erase the file "excerpts.lbsexc"

George,
Yes, that works. Although my home page has much less content.

Ok, the homepage should be back to normal in beta 4.

At least the program is open again.
