Bug: 8.5 Notification dropdown missing some resource thumbnails

Some of the resources on the Notification dropdown show placeholder images (although the library does show the proper thumbnail).

I'm guessing that the metadata hadn't downloaded yet, and the notification was not refreshed once they were available.
