Bug: 8.5 Library dropdown shows different count than Library tab

The Library dropdown shows a different (prior) number of results than the Library tab.

The dropdown count is the number of resources when the program launched.

The tab count is the number of resources once new downloads and indexing had completed.

Not sure how to get the dropdown to refresh itself, apart from restarting the program (which should not be necessary).

Good one!

The tab count is the number of resources once new downloads and indexing had completed.

In my case, it didn't allow for removal of temporary resources after launch.

Note that the facet counts are correct e.g. Permanent & Temporary; This Device & Not on This Device.

Did the number ever correct itself? Sometimes its a matter of waiting for the metadata to update. In cases like these logs are helpful.

It didn’t correct itself within about ten minutes. I restarted.

I don’t tend to have logging enabled, but will try to remember to reproduce it.

It takes a restart to correct. But the point is that the Library dropdown (from the main toolbar) is incorrect whilst Library in a panel is correct. Further, the sidebar data is correct e.g. Temporary + Permanent!

Thank you, Philana. Here are the typical steps and the log files.

1. Buy something, so there is a new item to download.

2. Start Logos.

3. Wait for everything (preparing library, dowloading, indexing, updating library catalog) to finish.

4. Open library tab.

5. View library dropdown.

I appreciate the additional information, I've written up a bug report. I did find that if you apply and then remove a facet in the My Library pop-up it should show the correct count.

I don't know if this could be a related improvement, but here's another example of a (notification) dropdown not being refreshed after the metadata is updated.

Still, things like this are cosmetic issues, and there are plenty of more important things for the team to work on.
