How do you close all items in a contents "tree" at the same time?

In a contents list you can open and close a sub item by clicking on the triangle selector. When you search directly for a reference the sub-item for that chapter opens up. Going to a verse by typing in the reference directly opens up the sub-item for that chapter. After doing a bunch of lookups there are a lot of items open. It then makes it tedious to just scroll through the contents or to close the sub-items individually. Is there a way to close all items at once such as alt-click or shift-click on one of the selectors?
