Verbum icon, together with its app & associated files, mysteriously vanished

Hi Everyone! 

Until 3 days ago I have routinely used Verbum via my tablet, an Asus Memo Pad 7 ME572C. However, a few days ago the Verbum icon, together with its app & associated files, mysteriously vanished from the device. I have attempted to reload Verbum via Google Play, but note that Verbum was updated on 26 June and (now?) requires "Android 5.1 and up". The "about" option on "settings" states that my Asus tablet operates on Android version 5.0.1. Within Google Play I see the messages: "your device isn't compatible with this version" and "this app may not be optimised for your device"

Did the app disappear because of the Verbum update on 26th June? Is now my only option if I want to continue using Verbum is to upgrade my tablet, which I currently have no intention of doing, or is there an alternative?

I will greatly appreciate any help/advice because the Verbum app is so important to me.
