Purchased books not loading
I have bought several books over the past few months. It turns out, none of them have actually been loaded to my Library. When I do a search for them, they are not appearing. I have closed/restarted Logos multiple times, and the purchased books are not appearing. Initially, i just assumed it took a couple of days to actually sync the Library (giving the system the benefit of the doubt), but as I said, none of the books I have bought (back to 2/5/2019 -- that's where I stopped checking) are found in my Library. Any ideas?

Check Program Settngs. Go to the Internet section of Program settings and make sure "Download New Resources" is set to YES. That should fix this problem

As Mark hints at, this <may> be related to the new cloud resources feature. However, these resources SHOULD be appearing in your library, just not downloaded... The exception to this is if you have filtered your library to only show resources downloaded to "This Device."
Mark's suggestion will help you moving forward, but you will need to manually download the resources which didn't previously do so.
If this is not your issue, you will need to provide us with more details.

I had this happen once on iOS when I upgraded a tier. Talking with a customer service rep, it took a reinstall to see and download them. I was advised that cramming my entire library onto my iPad could be the cause.

David - your issue on mobile is unrelated to the issue here in the thread on desktop. The "full" version has always intended to allow the full download of ones library. You are right, however, that trying to download your entire library on mobile may lead to a corruption. That is why I beat the drum for users to be judicious in their mobile downloads.

This was one of the big reasons I pulled the plug (server access) on Logos. It was very iffy for NEWLY purchased books to download. I remember restarts etc to try to trick it. Vs instant delivery from Amazon. I eventually just started getting refunds, it was so unreliable.
I still touch their server on my ipad and still, you never know if a purchased book will show or not. It's like their server architecture is batch driven .. a new book isn't yet in the batch. Saves pressure on their delivery and I suspect their model is sleepy times at Ridgemont High.

Mark & JT,
I looked at my settings and it was already set to YES for Auto Downloads. However, I changed the time to Midnight to 11pm. That required a restart (which I had done numerous times before) and now Logos is updating. There is a boatload of resources that are updating. I am sure this will take care of my issue. Still wondering why the previous restarts didn't do the trick, but I am glad it is working now. Thanks!

What was the time originally?
Was "Download New Resources" set to YES?

Dave,
The original time was midnight to 1am.

I assume you figured this out, but if not... Having the settings adjusted that way would mean that the ONLY time you could acquire new updates would be between that single, solitary hour of the day. It even ignores the "update now" command.

I didn't know that it ignored the update now command...but now it makes sense why nothing was updating. My computer is off during those hours, so it was never updating. It took a while for my computer to go thru all the updates, but all is good at this time. Thanks to everyone for the input!
I would suggest to Logos that they change the instructions on the email after purchasing a book. It simply says to restart Logos and the book will be in the Library. None of the fine details are mentioned.

I don't necessarily disagree with you (that they should change the instructions), but in defense of FL: Their instructions are based upon a "default settings." Many of us, however, don't have default settings!
