Logos Mobile App for Android - Note Anchors

Currently running Android app build 8.4.1. I used to be able to long press, drag, and select multiple verses and then click "Note" to create a note that was anchored to a reference spanning multiple verses, e.g. John 1:1-5. I cannot seem to be able to reproduce this functionality in the latest app build. If I follow the same process, the note is anchored to the actual text selected in that specific resource, and I cannot find a way to switch it to the reference so that the same note will show in parallel resources. Any ideas? I consider this a key strength of Logos, and not having it is really hampering my note-taking ability.
