Suggestion: Add book to a collection
I don't know if this is possible in a way I've yet to discover, but it would be useful to right-click a book from the library drop-down or its information panel and add it from there to one or more collections. Sometimes (i.e., very often) I forget to add a book to a collection when I get it and only realise later. Rather than make a detour to the collections it should be possible to add it in other ways.

Bede, I think your suggestion has merit in itself and I'd like FL to implement that in Logos someday.
That said, I personally feel that there's a lot of functionality right now that you can use as a workaround to the lack of this functionality. Let me mention two or three:
- Dynamic collection rules
Most of the things I've used collections for and have seen others doing so will relate to information that is rightly available in some sort of metadata. So if you build the collections around rules (the same ones you would use to filter your library in order to identify those books if you didn't have a collection for them), Logos will automatically put new books into the collection. Whether it will be bibles in a specific language, books by an author or commentaries on a specific biblical book: using rules will have Logos add new resources automatically to the collection once they arrive in your library. An example would be: type:commentary subject:Bible.N.T.Matthew - Tagging
While you can't add a book to a collection directly from the library, you can tag it (or a number of selected books) from right there. If your collection has as its rule (or as an OR addition to the dynamic rule from #1) something like mytag:#61Mt then you can just tag a commentary on Matthew with #61Mt and it will automatically be part of your collection. This will also help completing the dynamic collections with books that have incorrect or missing metadata (like Faithlife ebook editions which are all type monograph and lack data in the subject field) - Use of shared collections
Many collections that have proven helpful for others or have been asked about in the forums are already existing. People have discussed them and weeded out inaccuracies or kept those current with newly released resources. You'll find rules for such collections (dynamic ones as well as exhaustive lists of books) in forum threads, in the wiki or in Faithlife groups dedicated to sharing material. If you're looking for a specific collection, don't hesitate to ask and it's very likely someone can show you an existing collection you can use for yourself (or at least help you get to 80%).

Is there a way to add books that I do not own (are not in my library yet) to a collection? Is it possible to tag them? I have tried using the resource query to insert the Resource ID in hopes that this might bring it in, but to no avail.

Not that I would know, for both. And as far as I could see, the store tab in the library - which holds unowned books - ignores the mytag: search instruction anyway.
What is your expectation regarding having such books in collections? How do you intend to work with this?
