Saving a layout with multiple Bibles open and keeping the exact Scriptures in place
Short video shows the Problem - VIDEO

Why not save your setup as a layout?
Yes, sir - a good idea for sure. I mention in the video that saving the layouts do not work if you are using multiple copies of the Bible with several scripture variations. God, bless you always my friend.
Do you mean that, for example, every open bible is at a different Book, Chapter and Verse? That is not a linked set?
I mention in the video that saving the layouts do not work if you are using multiple copies of the Bible with several scripture variations.
But that does work for me. I have multiple copies of Bibles in practically every layout, and they always reopen to the point at which the layout was last updated.
As you found in another video, after filtering a bible via Open All from a Passage List, that state is not preserved when you save the layout.
Here, you have found that multiple copies of a bible cannot display independent Visual filters (Passage Lists, etc). Faithlife are aware of this, but I doubt there will be a fix.
If you want multiple copies with different filters as a matter of convenience and practicality, then continue to use Open All as/when needed.

But it doesn't work when the bibles are filtered.
If you watch the video it will explain things perfectly . Thanks

Yes I know it saved the Bible passages - you are not getting the issue because you did not watch the video which explains the problem perfectly.
take a look at it my friend. Peace to you always

Thanks buddy. That is what I have been doing. Just hoping for a fix - Peace to you always. God bless.

Yeah - It is the filters that I want to save. Thanks -

Saving the filtered state of resource would be one way to solve this issue, but the use case is pretty narrow. The better way to solve this issue is to allow unique instances of a resource to apply a VF (without turning it on in all instances). This would be useful in a wide range of situations such as having different Notes/Highlights or VF's displayed, or having Propositional Outlines, Bible Text Only, Discourse Features, or Passage Lists turned on in only one instance.
The current inability to apply a display filter setting to unique instances is problematic in a wide array use cases and really should be addressed.
Work around is Multi-View (since secondary visual filter settings are inherited from primary)
Screen shot shows 1995 New American Standard Bible, Paragraph open in two tabs with different visual filter settings.
FYI: one of my quirks is looking at pictures attached to forum posts: (but not view video links while thankful others watch them)

WOW - Interesting - I had no idea this was a bigger problem then I thought.
So, according to you, at the moment anyway, there is no solution other than the Ideas you just mentioned.
thanks for your reply. God bless you always.
