Sorting Sermon Documents

Is there any way to sort Sermon Documents by the Date of Delivery? Previously, my sermons were sorted by the Date column, but this is the date the sermon was last edited. If I were to correct a typo in an old sermon, then it would be out of sequence.

Even worse, when I installed Logos on a new computer, it reset the dates of all my sermons to the date of installation. Now I can't sort them by anything meaningful.

If it's not currently possible to sort Sermons by Date of Delivery, then please consider adding this capability in the near future.

While I have not found a way to do this in L8, a possible workaround (if you have uploaded to sermons.faithlife.com) is to sort by date presented from the website. [I do concur that sorting within L8 would be helpful!]

The simplest solution would be to use a [date] prefix in the document title, eg. 2019-07-28 A Faith That Works. This way sermons default to date order regardless of filtering options available or how much you edit them. 

If the date prefix ends up on your title slide, simply edit it out from the sermon document slide editor.

Liam, I am a great fan of the date prefix on all files.

I appreciate my habit of using eg 190730 may cause some problems in 980 or so years time the fact that files sort in date order when sorted alphabetically makes me disregard this inconvenience.

I do wish Faithlife would adopt a similar strategy when using dates in their correspondence. I am right fed up with them telling me that things such as something will be published on the seventh day of the thirtieth month this year.
