Specific icons in note files

Is there a way to set default icon shapes and colors for specific note files? I use 3-4 note files simultaneously in my Bible reading: "From my OT" "From my Library" etc. Each uses a distinct icon and I would like to set some defaults for each file. Thanks.

Until Logos 8, there was a default Note icon: Plain yellow square. Logos 8 uses the icon (shape and color) from your previous Note.

I preferred the old way, but there is no option to set the default icon. [sigh]

Thanks for your reply. But what I want is a specific (and different) default note icon for EACH note file, so I don't have to keep changing them as I switch from note file to note file. This shouldn't be that hard to fix!

If you mean by note file 'Notebook' then no you cannot. I too wish for this.

I differentiate the type of notes by icon, and store all notes of a similar type in the same Notebook. As it stands now, I have to go in and change the icon as it always adopts the last used icon. Quite annoying.

I have now taken to leaving the icon as it is for a period, until many notes assigned to that notebook, and then Ctrl-A in the notebook, and batch set to the icon I wish to assign.
