Notes - put icon before verse number in the Bible text

 I am trying to add a note to Philippians 4:8 (NABRE), and want the icon in the text before the verse number.

 I open NABRE and Notes.

In the Notebooks menu I select Philippians and I select Phil 4:8 in NABRE, including the verse number, and right click. But I get the icon in NABRE after, not before, the verse number and also in the Note's compact list NABRE appears after the verse number, which I do not want.

Please help.

    Are you trying to link the note specifically to NABRE or are you wanting to link it to Phil 4:8 generally?

    What are you are describing will link it specifically to NABRE and this is wht the NABRE appears after the verse number in the compact view. If you just link it to the verse generally, you wouldn't get the NABRE there.

    But I can't reproduce the situation of the icon appearing after the verse number. Are you able to post a screenshot showing this?

    Hi Graham,

    Many thanks for your email, your concern and interest.

    I want:

     (1) the note to be associated with the verse generally and not with NABRE,

     (2) the icon in the Bible text to be before the verse number,

    (3) the verse in the Bible text to be highlighted and

    (4) changes made to be kept.

    I list all my requirements for my studies, but initially I am focussing on only some.

    I would appreciate help, and regret that my queries are vague. In Visual Filters I may have introduced problems in trying to find solutions.

    I tried to include a screenshot, but I failed to do so, but  I hope my concerns are  clear.

    For this you need to create the note "by reference" (red outline below) and not by selection

    As you can see the icon is before the verse number (and in the compact Notes view, the word NABRE does not appear)

    This doesn't, immediately, cause the biblical text to be highlighted. You can do this by selecting the highlighting you want from the notes tool

    For illustration, I'll select the "Use icon color" option

    Apart from (4) does this give you what you want?
