So what happens to one's datasets when one upgrades to a newer version of Logos?
I understand that you never lose a book when you upgrade Logos. What you purchased stays with you across upgrades, even if Logos loses the license to sell a book that you previously purchased.
I also (think that I) understand that the contents of base packages changes from version to version so that an owner of, say, Logos 8 Silver might potentially have to pay an additional fee (for the additional content) to acquire Logos 9 Silver. (Just an hypothetic example, I have no crystal ball...) Nevertheless, the books that were acquired in a previous "Silver" purchase remains with the owner, even if he/she only upgrades to the base engine of a newer Logos version.
But what about datasets? If I have purchased Logos 8 "Bronze" and then only upgrade to the "Starter" package in Logos 9, do I lose all of the "Bronze" level data sets that I had in Logos 8? Or do I still have the benefit of them from the previous purchase?
(Okay, I know that Logos 9 is not out yet, but how did this work with the upgrade from Logos 7 to Logos 8?)
Thanks for the input.

If you purchased resources or features that include certain datasets, you will retain those as long as those features exist. If new features with new datasets are introduced in L9 or some future release, then you may be required to purchase a feature set or base package to get access to those.

This is true of datasets and features that you previously purchased. Anything previously purchased remains with you.

Don't be mislead into thinking that you have to maintain the status of being a "Silver" owner. Purchase whatever you need in Logos 9, whether "Bronze", "Gold" or even "Starter"! What you own can be used to discount the price of a new purchase e.g. a Base package, Feature Set or Collection.
