8.7 SR-1 (8.7.0.0041) is now available
The Logos Bible Software desktop application version 8.7 SR-1 is now available to all users.
To immediately update to the current stable version, enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

Is it possible that the update is not yet available in Germany?
Wenn I enter the update command Logos says "No updates available"
When the application is restarted there is no update either

Same thing in the Netherlands. Running the installer will perform the update though.

Thanks Jan for the advice, it did work out!

I an currently in my log cabin as hillbilly (in the middle of nowhere some would say), but the loading was quite fast through the mobile data: average 10 Mbit/s.
I have to relearn the right click, but I am happy with the improved right-click now.

Same thing in Australia as others are reporting. I am on 8.6 and it says no update are available.

Still 8.6 in Germany too.
Blessings in Christ.

We temporarily took down the 8.7 update last night about 11:00pm PDT (6:00am GMT), due to a crash that a few users reported here.
The crash appears to be caused by combining multiple search filters, e.g., searching within a particular highlighting style and also searching within a passage range.
This can happen from running a Bible Search (with those options), but it can also happen in the background when Visual Filter documents are evaluated; this may be triggered by opening a resource.
We will ship an update as soon as possible tomorrow to resolve this issue.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience; we'll have you up and running soon.

PLEASE CLARIFY! I'm trying to follow release numbers and timestamps on Forum posts.
Is 8.7.0.0041 (8.7 SR1) the fix to 8.7.0.0039 (8.7)or is 8.7.0.0041 (SR1) the release that got pulled? I updated yesterday (8/20) and am sitting at 8.7.0.0039.

It's both.
We shipped 8.7.0.0039 (RTM), then 8.7.0.0041 (SR-1), then pulled both releases when reports of crashes came in.
We apologise to those who got stuck on RTM and didn't update to SR-1 before it was pulled. The only thing that's missing is access to the new text selection menu.
We'll be shipping SR-2 soon.

We'll be shipping SR-2 soon.
Thanks! for the clarification (I was able to get to SR1 this morning by going to https://www.logos.com/install and will await the release of SR2)

FEEDBACK
I love the direction taken with the changes to the context menu. Any change requires adaptation of old habits it is true, but the move is toward greater ease of use and access and THAT IS GREAT.
Specifically, I love:
- Easy access to most used notebooks
- Easy access to most used highlighting styles
- Easy access to most used guides
- Ability to quickly preview parallel Bibles, dictionary entries, lexica from the context menu. Great to quickly get an answer without opening the target resource.
I am sure that as with all new developments there will be issues to address and wrinkles to iron out, but I want to congratulate the team for this big step in the right direction. Keep doing this!

Enjoying the change to the right click menu and the new text selection menu.
One strong suggestion for the text selection menu: please add clipping access to this menu.
Right now it’s a lot of waiting and clicking if I need to clip. It would be great to the left of the note icon : )
Anyone else need or value this change?

I will turn off the text selection menu if this change doesn't happen.

YES. I find Clippings MORE helpful than even the Notes. Sorry.

I'm showing 8.7.0.0042. With that, is anyone else having their Layouts crash Logos when closing them down? I've had as many as nine different Layouts and yet just one of them without exception crashes the program.
I've removed the troublesome one and built it from scratch several times and this same one keeps crashing Logos. It appears there is nothing found in the Logs that's causing this, so am wondering if I'm the only one who is having this issue. I have the same problem on both computers.

Bootjack,
Let's keep this discussion in your original thread, because the layout is unique to you.
