Media Resources cut and paste???

I just have a quick question? does any body know how can I insert media resources such photos (Maps, Graphs) into a Word document or Keynote or Pages?

I'm working in a project for a Bible Institute and I like to use some of those graphs in my material so I hear your advice on this.

For posting screen shots, using Grab utility and Preview (File new from Clipboard). Preview has some editing and annotation tools.

Have used Preview to select (crop) portion of screen image - saved as PNG file for forum posting - file could be inserted into a document. Likewise could paste selected portion into a document for printing (optionally resize) - suggest using Print => Preview before sending to printer (or pdf file for email).

Many programs offer formatting: TextEdit (included with Mac OS X), Apple iWorks '09, Microsoft Office, and OpenOffice (free).

Like Preview, TextEdit has more capabilities than suggested by program name - e.g. list format has prefix, suffix, and many bullet/number options.
