Useability question/issue regarding Command Box

In beta testing, I learned that I was a definite minority in that I wanted the contents of the Command box to be persistent so that I could simply modify or copy it. Unfortunately, History captures an abbreviated command at times. An example of what I am building:
[quote]Datatype: <PapalEncyclicals = Aeterna Dei sapientia 1>
Milestone: {Milestone <PapalEncyclicals = Aeterna Dei sapientia 1>}
Command: Open Aeterna Dei Sapientia (Latin) to John XXIII, Aeterna Dei sapientia 1
The Command line information was drawn from:
I cannot copy from the dropdown box nor is the command persist in the text box for copying. How can I copy the selected command? Is there a command line history somewhere? the standard history simply gives "Aeterna Dei sapientia 1".
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I liked the previous behaviour. You could make a case to enable copying from the drop-down
