Through a mediation of Faitlife by sending e-mail to MP seminar someone from MP seminar contacted me by e-mail support@mpseminarsonline.com . He asked me why? and I have responded all the problems which I went through, but no avail. No response at all.

When did you respond? How much time have you given them? MP is a fairly small operation.

I have had MP slow to respond when a camp is being given elsewhere in the country, around legal holidays (as now), or when someone is on vacation or out sick. They have always apologized for their understandable slowness and handled issues and questions to my satisfaction.

Have you checked your spam folder?

That’s not the problem . Someone has contacted me after extensive attempts through Faithlife and disappeared.

You've allowed at least one full business day for a response - plus accounted for the fact that this is a holiday weekend? and that support staff often take a bit of time off when school starts, if they have young children? Where I grew up, even the county fair would need to be taken into account this time of year.[:)]

Hi Tes,
I work with Morris -- I'm so sorry for the frustration. As I mentioned on your previous thread back in June, it's possible spam filters are blocking your message (esp. if you're overseas). I don't see your inquiry anywhere in our system after checking thoroughly.
Honestly, we work hard to respond within 24 business hours to all inquiries, and usually they're answered quicker. We've not had other users report slow response times, or trouble submitting a support form / sending an email to support, which makes it difficult to say for sure what issue is preventing you from getting through.
As I also mentioned back in June:
"I'd like to make this right for you, so please reach out. If you don't hear back after doing so, it's definitely being filtered as spam and you can also contact me via faithlife."
I'd be happy to provide you with my personal cell so I can either help fix your issue or help issue you a refund for the month you're referring to. I don't want to post my number on a public forum for bots to pick up, so please reach out to me using Faithlife's "messages" feature, or you can try my personal gmail account which I'll type out here for you to interpret (in a way spam bots hopefully won't pick up). Email me at rowejd333 at g-m a-i l -- d-o-t com.
Let's get this fixed for you.
Blessings,
-Josh

I just checked my gmail box and don't see anything (or in spam). I'm really curious why this is happening with your messages.
Let's do this: let me know a few times this week you may be available for an online meeting. We can use google meetings, which also allows screen sharing. I am on Central Standard Time.

Well. add another. I never received a reply at all. Thats ok, tho. I do not require an answer. Just letting you know, perhaps the reason people are not reporting is, they're just walking away.
Not the case here. I signed up, for now, anyway.Joshua Rowe said:Hi T es,

Hi Batman,
Could you give me more details? We answer many support requests every day, and our service team is held accountable for timely responses. Please let me know when you inquired, how (web form? email?), and what email address you sent a request from. See the previous post I gave Tes for my personal email if you'd rather send over info that way. If there's an issue preventing requests from coming through, we need to diagnose it pronto, and details like this help a ton.

Tes, I just sent you an email to that address. Let me know if it came through--my personal cell is in the email. I'd love to schedule a time to talk so I can get more details and we can diagnose any issue you're having.

On another note, I want to challenge your thinking as to Morris and MP Seminars. Your references to his material being "slick" and seeming like he's just all about the money -- I strongly reject.
Not only have I worked with Morris in the past few years -- I've known him over 15 years, first as a Bible college student. He helped me personally with Logos, mentored me, and has spent *countless hours* of his time teaching me to preach, listening to my sermons, helping me understand how to better move from Exegesis to Exposition, never asking for a dime.
He's passionate about the Word and would give you the shirt off his back. I've seen him generously give from his resources, his energies, and his abilities for a long time.
Granted, he is definitely a perfectionist and wants all his material to be top-notch, but that's because he finds it a worthy cause to help fellow preachers, teachers, and Bible students study the Word of God.
He's also been with Logos from the time they were tiny and just starting out. He was the first to teach Logos and I'm pretty sure most other trainers have taken his courses at one time or another before deciding to do something similar.
Morris was at Logos' headquarters this month teaching their sales and development teams how pastors / bible teachers best use their software---often Logos developers work on specific features and Morris is brought in to help them understand the whole. He had a chance to bring up his "wish list" to them, and they were amazed at those ideas. He's an advocate for you to Logos whether you're a student or preacher/teacher.
Morris wants people to love, study, and share the Word. If it comes across as "slick" or "too polished" or "all about the money"--well, I'm not sure I've ever been to a church where people haven't complained in similar ways. You're absolutely entitled to your opinion, and to share it -- but as his friend, I'd ask you to avoid slanderous accusations. My advice to anyone who wants to voice serious allegations (greed, in this case) towards a person online should first address that person directly, preferably face-to-face, but at least on the phone. As a deacon, I recommended this and it was implemented as a guideline to our church to avoid people unloading online or by email as they wouldn't in person. I can get you Morris' info and he'd be genuinely open to listen to any constructive criticism you have.
I at least want to offer first-hand feedback from someone who actually knows Morris, his business, and his heart. We'll do whatever we can (as will he) to help you learn Logos better and if you're not satisfied with the online training experience -- please let me know what we can do better and we'll work hard to improve as we have from day one.

I am now speechless Joshua has connected my computer and he has showed many things. We have now found out that the problem was luck of connection. But now everything is cleared. I want to thank to Joshua and those who have helped me by recommending me what to do and some useful advises.
Blessings in Christ.

Thanks Tes,
It was a pleasure to connect with you and hear some about your ministry--you're doing incredible work for the kingdom, so keep it up!
In our screen share session, I think we cleared up all the issues and you're able to take whatever courses you'd like now. I apologize again for the difficulty getting connected.
I checked our support ticket system and our test help request did indeed go through, so you can use that blue "Help" button in the bottom right corner (or whatever word that is in German, haha) -- and then the "Contact" button to submit information. We do our best to reply within 24 business hours.

Who is the other major trainer?

I want to chime in here as a long time MP student. Over the years I have attended several training seminars, not just for the training, which is top notch, but also for the fellowship. I feel that I want to keep company with men and women who love the Bible so much they are willing to invest time and $$ in a program like LOGOS. While I value the online stuff, I miss the one on one training and fellowship. I try to go every other year just to keep my sword sharp. I not only learn a lot about the program, but I am also challenged to do more studying myself.

Hi Batman:
Not sure what particular features you use in Logos, but there is some interesting free stuff that helps with certain tasks:
https://www.morethancake.org/archives/4864
https://www.morethancake.org/?s=sermon+using+logos
https://www.morethancake.org/archives/395
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8AA3949989A57B88&feature=plpp
https://faithlife.com/gcpreaching/activity
Then you have the application ideas by Dave Moser:
https://blog.logos.com/2014/06/how-do-you-use-logos-dave-moser/
Morris has neat stuff, but is not consolidated in one resource:
There are neat concepts for a course, and with imagination you can adapt it to do it with Logos:
https://thirdmill.org/seminary/course.asp?vs=bst
I love many of the search techniques shared by "Keep smiling for Jesus" in the forums. You can look up that too.
Once your conceptual framework is enlarged, you will find ways to use Logos in advantageous ways to aid in your tasks. If in doubt you can post questions here in the forums.
Peace and grace.

And I'm squawking over a one time session. online or IRL?
Actually, as much as it bothers me, I do agree doing an IRL training would be much more beneficial. First, you can ask questions a lot easier than online; and yes, for the fellowship, and seeing others struggle too. LOL. j/kPastor Don Carpenter said:I want to chime in here as a long time MP student. Hey Hamilton.
Appreciate the links and time you spent to send them. Hope others will too.
And yes, user "Keep Smiling for Jesus" is a huge asset to the community. KS4J has kept me in line many a time, and helped so much.
Thanks again. Much appreciatedHamilton Ramos said:Hi Batman:

You are welcome Tes.
If you decide to start building your own theology, keep us posted on how you go about it in Logos, it would be interesting to know. (maybe you can add some of your inductive work there too).
Peace and grace.
