I didn't see it in the release notes, but you can now assign a shortcut key to apply highlights! After you assign the shortcut key, you use CONTROL and whatever LETTER you assign to apply a particular layout.
P.S. I wonder if there would be a way that it could be setup that I wouldn't have to use Control, but simply press the Letter.
