Read Aloud works and sometimes it doesn't.
Wondering if anyone knows how to make the Read Aloud feature work consistently? There doesn't seem to be a certain rhyme or reason to when it works and when it doesn't. I hit command R and it starts reading. Then it might just stop in the middle of a paragraph. If I scroll down so it will read farther down the page it might read where the top of the screen stops. And sometimes it might make itself go backward and read soemthing it has already read. Different books. Different speeds (either 1.4 or 2x) doesnt seem to make a difference. The little rewind icon in the top right menu doesnt work. The play pause button doesn't work either.
I read so slowly, that when I am reading something that I need to finish (like for school) it is so helpful to listen to it as I read. But then it gets so frustrating when it just seems to not want to read and i can't figure out why.
Thanks for any ideas. Mac with Logos 8. All updates applied to Logos and MacOS. No beta software for either.

Tony, I use the read aloud feature a lot and have not experienced what you are describing. I'm on a PC so I'm not sure if that might make a difference.
Does it happen in specific resources? Can the problem be reproduced? e.g. note where it happens. Close the resource then reopening it and try again at the same spot.

I can’t be of much help, but have you experimented with columns? (I.e. “none” vs. “one”)
