Bug: Tabs malfunctioning in 8.8b2

Switching between tabs, when resizing is needed, results in totally 'disastrous' behavior. Sometimes the selected tab gets small (as if deselected) while an unselected tab gets expanded but without the additional text. See the screenshots. Anyone else seeing this (specifically on macOS)?

I am not currently on the beta, but I am very glad this is being addressed!
