Notes adding incosistencies and bugs [8.8 beta 3 Windows 10]

I have found a lot of inconsistencies in the note system on Logos 8.8 beta 3.
1. When I add a new note, the focus of the note tool does not change to the note. I don't know if this is a bug, but at least it would make more sense for the new note to become the focus.
2. When I was trying to find where my new note went, I found another inconsistency. Sometimes a new note is added to the bottom of the list of notes; sometimes it is added to the top.
2a. This is the pattern I notice. If I open the Notes tool and click New Note, it adds the note to the top of the list. This is because the notes are sorted by Date Modified, in reverse order so new notes are on top. That is fine.
2b. If I add a highlight (again with all notes open), the note is added to the top, but the note (highlight) does not become the focus of the notes.
2c. If I select text and choose Add Note from the popup menu, the note is added to the top and the focus changes to the notes.
2d. If I select text and from the popup menu select Add Note, the note is added to the bottom of the list of notes. This is because when you change to a notebook, the order of notes is earliest note first. Also in this case the focus does not change to the note, so the note is hidden at the bottom of the list.
3. Another inconsistent bug: A few times today a note icon and highlight have not shown up in the resource where I added the anchor. The note is visible in the notebook and shows both a note icon and highlight color in the notebook, but nothing appears in the resource where the note was added. Sometimes the note icon and highlight show up; sometimes not. I have found orphan notes in earlier betas for 8.7 and 8.8, but this is the first time I caught it in the action. See under section 4 for at least one pattern I found.
4. There is inconsistency about whether a note in a Reverse Interlinear will be attached to the ENglish words or the Greek word.
4a. If I select a word in a reverse interlinear and the Greek lemma is selected in the Content menu, then select "Take a Note", the anchor is the Greek word. For example, in Matt 21:1 NASB, I selected "Mount of Olives" and chose Add note from the Context menu, the new note was added under the Greek word ὄρος. This is fine, Here is the problem: The English Bible text is not highlighted and no anchor icon was added to the NASB, but the note is in the note book. If I click on the word ὄρος in the anchor section of the note, I get the message "No resources found that contain this reference." So there is a note, but it is effectively invisible from the resource from which the note was created.
4b. Then I added another note and I selected "Mount of Olives" a second time, then added a note. This time the note is added with the anchor as "Mount of Olives"and the text is highlighted with the note icon. All is well the second time.
4c. I just added a note again to the same selection, and the third time the note was added to ὄρος and the note is invisible from the NASB.
4d. To make this more fun, I selected "Mount of Olives" again and chose the note icon from the selection menu. This adds the note the the English phrase "Mount of Olives.
The inconsistency in the notes system is stunning.

Is this happening for "notes" for you or only for highlights? I cannot reproduce (on macOS) focus not shifting when adding a note, but focus not shifting when highlighting is "as designed" (though I'd prefer it otherwise, as I like to annotate my highlights).

This is not an inconsistency. It gets placed where it needs to be depending on the current sort order (which you can change). You could, of course, argue against sorting "by Notebook" by default when a Notebook is selected. Personally, I think it would be nice if settings were remembered on a per-notebook basis.

I'm not seeing an inconsistency. Could you specify whether you are using the selection menu for some of these. I would expect the selection menu to only add a note to the surface text, whereas the context menu should add a note to whichever context you've selected (lemma, selection, etc). Notes anchored to a lemma do not display in resources (this is by design).

This sounds like a bug that I reported here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/181303/1048617.aspx#1048617
