I am suing the Precept work flow for a study of Colossians and every time I make observation in a step i.e. major step, it saved notes as a new note book. therefore I get a new note book for every step with a number in parens after it.

Is this the way it is supposed to work?

I can't replicate - mine behave as Dave states:

The workflow notes are stored in a single Notebook, that reflects the name of the workflow.

Can you post a screenshot using the paperclip so we can see what you are seeing?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I am computer challenged and can not provide a screen shot, however when I go the notebook icon next to the filter icon and open the notebook I have three notebooks number Precept Chapter Study (4,5,6). Some how I don't think that is the way it is supposed to be.

I am not a big fan of workflows, I think they are useful for learning a new approach to bible study but don’t see them as something to rely upon all the time.

That said Robert I have experienced what you mention on the occasion when I have used workflows and had to move the notes all into one file in order to tidy up the mess they left behind of multiple notebooks numbered just as you describe. I think it was the system theology workflow last time I experienced this behaviour.
