POSSIBLE BUG: Default Notes Font Size not changing Fonts

I was under the impression (perhaps I am wrong) that when you changed the default font size for notes, any note that has not had altered fonts/sizes would automatically change with that setting change. However, this does not seem to be the case. Is this a bug or expected behavior?

The behaviour from old Notes might indicates that this will change all notes text whose size was set to Default. However, it only affects new text in an existing Note/Highlight (or text in a new Note/Highlight). I't's not what I would have expected.

I could have sworn that there was a discussion on the new notes tool that it should change as well. I know it does if you change the font itself. Just odd/frustrating.Dave Hooton said:The behaviour from old Notes might indicates that this will change all notes text whose size was set to Default. Some of the issue with font/size is attributable to pasted text. When you change default font, text size is not affected (where it is different to default), so you could say there is no concept of a default font and font size, except for new notes. Where you say "any note that has not had altered fonts/sizes", you would be implying that diffferent sizes would be changed to the new default size; which could have more unpredictable results than just changing those with default size. So I'm thinking that the current behaviour is reasonable, as there are consequences of changing those with default size and whatever font they have.

Right I am thinking only for notes that have not had their fonts directly edited in the note itself and are just using the default standard. This currently works for the font family so not sure why it would not work for size as well.

My memory concurs but I can't find it ...

Ok, glad I'm not the only one that remembers something about that.

Is this the conversation you're referring to (it's the one I remember)?
Possibly, but I was sure I saw something not just about font style but size as well but I could be wrong. IF NOT, then we should change this to a suggestion thread [;)]

Actually, when I copy 10pt text from MS Word and paste it into a Logos Note, it still pastes as 11 point. Setting default size to 10pt only affect material typed into a note.

"Style," in the sense that Adam is referencing would include everything from font face to color, to size to.... That said, he mentions that "default" is like a style, so there's some room for interpretation there!

If it was 7 months ago i.e. Feb 2019, default text size wasn't available, as it came with v8.4 in April (8.4 beta 1 in March).
The default attribute is only applied to the font (in the Notes tool); not the text size. I find that pasted text from a Logos resource takes the destination font style, source formatting (bold/italics) and source text size (the citation has its own text size). From an external source, text takes both destination font and text size, but source formatting. Compare that with what Adam states should happen, and we have a mess (pasted plain text seems to respect the destination). I was using Vivaldi as a distinctive default font.
So I was happy to fix the mess from pasting text, grateful for default font changes affecting my notes with default font, and not concerned that default size changes only affect new notes.
