I have been using dropbox for three devices for free.Now I want to add my surface pro and ipad to sync my documents.I can't make extra monthly payments . I am looking for any alternative which might be perhaps possible to sync my documents in a cheapest way. I need it to sync at home and then use it outside without a requirement of Internet.

Not quite sure what you are asking for here. Dropbox is cloud based so you need the internet. There are other services like Thunderdrive thatrun specials for online space. I paid a one time $49.00 for 2 TB. But if it must be accessible without internet than you might want to look into something like a portable SSD. Again you can get 1 or 2 TB pretty cheaply and you can carry it with you. Of course you'll have to sync manually, but it does give you lots of space and easy portability. Of course all of your Logos docs are all automatically stored and synced. So for me, all of my sermons for instance are always available on all my devices, or in the cloud - and it costs nothing. Hard to beat that!

Thank you Reid. These is good information . I have two questions. 1. the one you paid one time $49.00 for how long? And for how many devices is usable ? I have tried to search what I have found is $5 for 500 DB monthly. Could you send me the link please? Independently from these the portable SSD is also very interesting would you please type it here or send me a link yours,so that I can buy it confidently . I hope it might be available in Germany as well. What do I need to use the Portable SSD to use it on surface pro 4 ? Is it possible to open in Ipad?

As for an SSD, something like this from Amazon is available everywhere: SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable External SSD - Up to 550MB/s - USB-C, USB 3.1 - SDSSDE60-1T00-G25

Just a USB is all that's needed for the portable SSD and I believe the new iPad os provides for being able to use plugins like that now. But I do not know for sure.

what you want to copy, and to where you want them copy to

Once you have them on the wireless storage device. You just login to the storage device

To get your copy of your documents

There's another device which you can add any USB storage device To, this works the same way but it does not have an internal Ssd, this particular device as a large internal battery which you can use for charging your mobile devices

Thank you for the information and tips. I made a purchase for 59 USD the lifetime cloud thend. I haven’t received any confirmation which lets me start. I hope they will respond to my email. The ständische I am not sure which one you have recommended me, I have seen the one below .but I want your conformation.

It took a little time for my confirmation as well, but it did come through and I do have the service now and it works fine for me. I hope it works as well for you. The SSD you cite is just 200gb. So depending on how much storage you need, may be large enough. Mine is 500gigs and I've found it huge. Scandisk is a reliable name brand.

You can get one of those Visa gift cards and load it with enough funds to cover some significant time (1, 2, or more years), have the cloud service to take payments from that card, and throw the card in a box or drawer, mark your calendar for a month or so before the funds run out. This way you will not have to physically make the monthly payments, and it will give the effect of a one-time purchase,

For instance; iCloud costs 99 cents per month for 50GB. Get a Visa Gift Card and load it with about $40. This will cover 3 years of iCloud usage before you have to load the card again or get another one. Just make sure you don't use the card for anything else.

Similar to a bank debit card without the need to maintain a bank account. Master Card also has them, but the most popular is Visa. Here in the United States, they cost about $4.95.

It dawned on me that you are not located in the united states. I'm sure that a similar option is available where you are. It may be worth checking in to.

I use them for various purposes, especially when I want a product from a company that I'm not familiar with or is questionable. Because they are not tied to your bank account, anything that may happen will not be linked to your main bank account.

I have all now the SSD is very good and the life time cloud is also very good for storage eventhough is is not like drop box which you sync specially for personal book.
