Lexham Research Commentaries Question

I am performing exegesis on the passages related to the Abrahamic Covenant in Genesis.
Would this benefit me at all?
https://www.logos.com/product/27748/lexham-research-commentaries-genesis-collection
I'm already going to consult: Word Biblical, Heremenia, Continental, NICOT, Anchor Bible, etc., plus HALOT, TDOT, NIDOTTE, etc., for word studies.
Thanks!

The LRC is designed to put you to first base quickly. On a given passage, it will tell you what all the reference commentaries point to as a main point. You can then take it from there. It's immensely helpful. I consider anything valuable related to Genesis (and the Pentateuch) indispensable. I think I got my copy in a package deal.

I like the Bible Guides as well. They are basically a commentary survey. They go through the major issues of each passage and link them to the most relevant sources available in Logos for that passage. They even include a brief synopsis of each author's view. They are very helpful.

I'd have to agree with Joseph. I love them. It's best when you can have all the resources they refer to throughout the Research Commentary. Now if you're a biblioholic and you see that there are a few or more resources missing that are mentioned in the LRC you will probably go through the temptations of, "should I or shouldn't I get those books?" Speaking as a weening biblioholic you'll end of getting them and loving that you did. But then you go through the remorseful thoughts of Romans 7 [*-)]
So if you can afford to fork over the cash for the 2 vol. set, I'd say get them. They will enhance your study of any Book let alone Genesis.

On a side note, when did they change the name of these from Lexham Bible Guides to Lexham Research Commentaries? I do like the new name, but I didn't realize they had changed.

In "Collection rules for sorting commentaries" by Mark Barnes it should show up among the intermediate commentaries, but apparently does not anymore. [^o)]

An email was sent out a while ago letting everyone know about the change from LBG to LRC. I think they even did a blog post about it.

As DAL said, it was quite recently and it probably should have been that way from the beginning. For what it's worth, as a result, I had to go back and change the custom titles I had created to reflect this change and I know that others had do to the same to match the new designation as commentaries.

Since July 2019 they've been in Commentaries (Study Guides) - https://documents.logos.com/documents/4e9bf5ca10c342c7a679d15a78c0994f

Thanks David!
For some reason I don't see it in the "study guides" nor in other categories either.
I have four of those Lexham study guides currently.

If I recall correct, PNG, JPG, and BMP all should work - I use PNG most of the time, since that's what JING and Snipping Tool offer as default choice.

I have Philippians in this series but I don't find it particularly helpful. Perhaps some are more helpful than others?
I am teaching through Galatians and I am considering getting it in this series. Would anyone be able to upload a screenshot of Gal 4:3? (in particular στοιχεῖα)
Thanks

I don't have the LRC on Galatians, but I do have An Exegetical Summary of Galatians (a series that does the same thing as LRC, but gets down to business a bit quicker).
I haven't used either series very much, but what little I have used them, I find that I like the An Exegetical Summary series more. I like the layout and brevity.

They are more helpful with problem passages or passages with varied interpretations. For instance, the Genesis 1-11 volume gives good breakdowns of the differing views of creation including some of the Hebrew involved.

Mike, here is the part on στοιχεῖα. It looks most of the section (3:1 - 4:7) focuses more on chapter 3. There is nothing for 4:1-3, but I included the part on 4:4-5. Hope this helps.

LRC and Exegetical Summaries both complement each other very well. I really like the questions asked in the exegetical summaries, which sometimes help you ask your own questions . If you can afford both, buy them. The graphics in LRC are helpful for presenting. I hope both series get finished.
