Kyle: why does the left hand selection on the library panel not show Gothic as a language

I don't have that resource (yet) but I assume it is a transliteration / transcription, thus strictly speaking it is not Gothic. Nevertheless, I think it should be labeled Gothic.

That would never occur to me - Pali has no script of it's own, it is almost always in the alphabet of the country in which it was printed. So the idea that script=language is very foreign to me.

I agree with you, but just think how Russians would react if they should change to the Latin alphabet.
Or what would the English speaking world say if the were required to write phonemically? [:D]
