Labelling Notes

I labelled a note with Anchor "Exodus 12:46" such that right-clicking on the verse presents the option to search for "{Label Personal Labels WHERE Names of Jesus ~ <Sense Passover lamb>}" or "{Label Personal Labels WHERE Names of Jesus ~ <Sense Passover lamb>}".

However, I don't see any results when I run either of these searches under Bible or Basic.  I would have expected that Exodus 12:46 or at least the note itself would come up in the search results.  I also don't see any reference to this passage or note in the "Lamb of God" Topic Guide nor the "Lamb of God" Factbook entry.

I have restarted Logos, but that didn't change the results.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you provide a screen shot of the contents of the label on a mouse over?

Thank you. I have a couple of "hunches" to check out but a handyman is due any minutes so it will be a while before I can test.

The mouseover would indicate that the text was highlighted twice (to get the labels),  but there is no highlighted text! And how did you get two labels in the Notes tool for Ex 12:46?

Provide a screenshot of the Highlight style with its label definitions.

Provide a screenshot of the Highlight style with its label definitions.

The text box on the right is simply with a mouse-over (no highlighted text).  The note details are on the left.

Please let me know if I am not understanding what information you are looking for.

To get that information you have first to highlight text with a style that has a label! So I'm interested to see a screenshot of the Highlight style with its label definitions (in the Highlighting tool).

Isn't that the note information in the left window in the screenshot?

That is the Notes tool. I'm asking for a screenshot of the Highlighting tool showing the style you used to define the label Personal Labels (similar to below, when editing the style)

I didn't use the Highlighting tool.  I used the Notes tool to define the label.

This is starting to sound like two users separated by a common language so I'll step in as translator. A caveat I have not created a new label type since labels were added to L8.

On the left one has the Highlighting Tool in which a label is defined i.e. label name, attributes, defaults etc. established.

On the right one has the Note Tool in which a label is created for a particular anchor using the template provided by the definition. What I would slip into technical language and call an instantiation.

Given the back and forth, the question is whether L8 changed the relationship and no longer requires a definition of the label before adding a label. That should lead one to having identified a bug in the system and/or explaining why what appears to be a label cannot behave as one.

Is that a mutually understandable translation?

OK! That is new to me.

I'm not sure if it is a bug, but you have to attach the label to a note with text to get a Search result.

Note that you can Edit a label, and add multiple attributes as shown above. You don't need to add another label.

Dave - from the release notes I cannot tell if they intend to allow one to define a label via notes ... I'm going to start a separate thread.
