This is just for 2nd Temple'rs. If you're pursuing Elijah vs Phinehas and how they got tangled up between Judeans and Samaritans (later discussed by Origen), Abram Spiro wrote a good volume in 1953 for the American Academy of Jewish Research Vol 22 (available used).
Spiro spent a lot of time on the Samaritans. As a result, he got accidentally pulled into the original Anchor Bible Acts volume by Munck. Johannes Munck (Danish) did the commentary text, but promptly died. Albright (who did AB's Matthew) and Mann (who did AB's Mark) finished it up, but added appendices that completely disagreed with Munck.
Instead, they brought in Abram Spiro to discuss the theory that Stephen in Acts 7 was Samaritan, and his argument was a Samaritan theology. Most critical commentaries in Logos allude to Spiro, but provide few details. The old Anchor Acts commentary has it in considerable depth, if you are looking for it.
