This. Faithlife eBooks are type:monograph with no index (such as bible milestones). There's a thread where other users suggest converting this book to a Logos edition - the publisher may not want this, though.

It may be a matter of production timing. A couple years ago (as I remember it) the Moody Bible Commentary was released without all the milestones then it was later updated and released as a Logos resource that now does link to a Bible.
MBC and TEBC are different publishers, but hopefully the added functionality is in the works.

Awesome! I just purchased it and it’s an entire Bible commentary in one volume! I’m very happy with the practical comments and observations Tony makes. Very useful so far! I hope it makes it to a Logos edition some day 👍😁👌

Ps. Better purchase it now to get it updated for free if it gets converted to a Logos edition. A Logos edition is usually more expensive.

Thanks, everyone. First time buying an Ebook, so I wasn't familiar with its shortcomings whule using in Logos.
Content is excellent so far, though!

Faithlife eBooks (FLEB or formerly called "Vyrso") are "bare bones" eBooks. They are auto converted from the publisher's ePub files. Typically FLEB titles are released on the same day as other platforms (i.e. Kindle, Kobo, etc.). The pricing comes from the publisher. FL receives much less for these titles.
Logos Edition resources, on the other hand, are "value added" resources and is where FL earns most of their revenue. The contracts with the publishers are much different for these resources. Some publishers don't want to have their resources in this format, which is why some titles that would make more sense as "Logos Edition" resources are FLEB instead.
Sometimes FLEB titles do migrate to Logos... and that is good! If you own the FLEB title and the same edition migrates (not a later edition!), then you should receive a "Logos Edition" gratis.

...I would not expect this title to migrate, however... at least not unless this particular publisher decides to allow Logos Edition resources once again.

Well, this could be good news for those who have already purchased it. I thought that the publisher wasn't allowing new Logos edition resources though... A bit confused!

The New American Commentaries are by the same publisher. Are you suggesting the remaining volumes won't come to Logos?

I hope you’re right, that way everyone else can buy it 👍😁👌

No, and I may be confused. The SBC's "life way" purchased a competitor to Logos and it was my understanding that many of their titles were only going to be in FLEB (not necessarily all). Again, I could be wrong.

Sorry that this wouldn't help you, but my experience with Vyrso and now FL eBooks is, the moment someone mentions an eBook that is potentially unsuitable for a monograph edition, or at least a good candidate for a Logos edition, or buggy, or badly converted, or too good to be true, or whatever...., there's a high probability that it will be taken down from the store nearly immediately, for FL to decide what to do about it. So once I see such a mention in a thread, I make up my mind real fast and buy it, if I can (or not). It may return someday to the eBook store or to Logos.com (but the chance is not good and the wait time might be years, sorry again).

We will all be lucky if it makes it in within the next 10 years. FL is terrible with this and their contracts takes forever. Look at the Wiersbe bible study series that went MIA. Oh well
Edit: I should clarify that this is meant to be hyperbole and not disrespective... I do not pretend to know anything about contract making. I just know that over the years of being a customer items disappear and do take quite some time to reappear (if they do reappear). I do hope for a future where Logos is able to get books more freely and quickly.

On a side note, I asked internally about this book and it is indeed headed for Logos.

From an outsider's point of view some of decisions regarding what goes in which store seems quite arbitrary. A novel has just gone on pre-pub in Logos.

It's from IVP who seem quite happy having books in both Logos and Faithlife eBooks.

It may be used as a textbook.

Not familiär with the book, looks like worth a read. If it contains scripture references throughout then ( which a novel can do, though not common) then IMHO Logos format is the correct format regardless of the genre.

There are a number of novels written by Biblical scholars that I would expect to see in Logos format ... in the same way as I expect hymns and art to be included. The arts are one form of hermeneutics.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
